We consider it important that pupils have a voice about their school and its development.
We have a thriving Student Voice Forum across the Junior and Senior Schools, made up of representatives from each year group with every form electing a representative to serve on the Student Voice Forum for the year.
Meetings take place within individual year groups at least once every half term and the girls bring forward suggestions from their forms to the meeting which are duly discussed by all members and chaired by our Deputy Head Girls. Their decisions have informed and directed some of Bedford Girls’ School thinking, in particular in terms of our new values system and our Houses’ names.
The Student Voice Forum will play a significant part too in developing our anti-bullying policy and practice in school. Whole School meetings are held every term where girls from each year group are represented.
