An all-out Swimathon

On Saturday 25th November, the six Houses joined forces again to take part in the Rotary Club’s annual Swimathon to raise money for a variety of charities, including the King’s Arms Project, the Road Victims Trust and End Polio.

Fifty-five girls of all ages took part over the course of the afternoon, covering a fantastic 21 miles in total and raising over £1,000. Whilst this is a collaborative event, competition always creeps in between the Houses and this year Chanel’s third team proved the strongest, completing just over two miles in 50 minutes.

Year 9 pupil, Neve O’Brien (Nightingale) deserves a special mention for her tremendous fundraising efforts, collecting over £200 by herself.

Thank you to all participants who worked hard for these worthwhile causes and their parents for providing support and encouragement throughout the day.
