On Tuesday, a team consisting of Rebecca Nisbet, Ameze Ogie Omoregie (Lower Sixth), Meera Songara and Aastha Singh (Upper Sixth) participated in the Senior Team Maths Challenge.

The competition was held at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences at the University of Cambridge and involved three challenging rounds: the group round, the cross number round and the shuttle round. Each round was timed and the team was required to work in pairs and relay answers.

Preparation for this challenge involved memorising the Fibonacci sequence! Over 20 other schools were competing and the competition was certainly tough. However, the event was a stimulating experience and was much enjoyed by all. A massive thank you to Mrs Gardner for leading the team as mentor on the day and to Mrs Gribben for organising weekly training sessions.
