It was a day full of creativity on Monday in the Randle Hall. Led by the Drama Department, our Year 4 girls rehearsed and presented a bespoke puppet show, Creating Neverland.

The girls were introduced to four different types of puppets: shadow, spoon, ping-pong and sock. They learnt how to ‘maintain illusion’ by focusing on the puppet when operating their characters and thinking about how constant small movement can keep the puppet alive in the eyes of the audience.

They were highly imaginative in the making of their puppets, bringing to life the creatures, mermaids, fairies and pirates of Neverland! The day ended with the girls proudly presenting their work in a short performance to their parents.
