On Saturday, the BGS tennis teams competed against Kimbolton School with the age groups switching venues. After a comprehensive win in the first fixture, it was great to give some different tennis players a chance to play Kimbolton and play their first ever fixture.
The U14 and U15 teams played at Kimbolton School, whilst the U12, U13 and U17’s played at home in the glorious sunshine. The U14 team played some superb tennis and a special mention goes to Isabelle Sutton (Year 9) who had to play singles and ended up winning all her matches. There were victories for the U12, U13 and U17 and the U15’s narrowly lost against the older Kimbolton U16 team.
This was our final tennis fixture of this term before we play the BGS Tennis Championships on Saturday 26th June. Again, it was amazing to see some new faces represent Team BGS on the tennis courts and this shows we have a wealth of talent coming through the ranks.
