We are delighted to invite the BGS community to our inaugural First XI Team v Old Girls’ hockey and netball matches, which will be taking place on Sunday (27th March), 9.00am-3.00pm.
The matches will be dedicated to the memory of alumna and former member of staff, Sarah Raven (née Fisher, BHS 2004), who sadly passed away in November 2019. The matches will be held at the Senior School, on the astro-turf pitch, with a sandwich lunch between games for everyone. The event is open to the whole school community to attend - we hope you can attend all or part of the day.
We hope you can attend for all or part of the day, the itinerary is as follows:
9.00am Senior School open for tours
10.15am Hockey players arrive for registration and warm up
11.00am Hockey match begin
12.40pm Sandwich lunch served in the Assembly Hall / Archive display
1.45pm Netball match begin
3.00pm Finish
After the hockey match we will be introducing the Sarah Raven Player of the Match trophy, and after the netball match, the Fisher Cup, which will both be awarded by Director of Sport, Mrs Mason-McLeod. On the day we will be collecting for Sue Ryder St. John’s Hospice, who provided wonderful care to Sarah.
