Mrs Woodhouse (Year 5 Teacher)

On Friday 30th September, Year 5 went on an exciting trip to the National Space Centre in Leicester! They visited the UK’s largest planetarium, the 42m high Rocket Tower and the interactive galleries.

The experience linked well into this term’s Unit of Inquiry, Human’s curiosity over time has developed an understanding of the Universe. The girls have been thinking about how the planets differ, the different perspectives and understanding of the Universe over time and have now just begun to think about the role of technology in Space exploration.

Liliana (Year 5) said: “It was amazing!”

Ati (Year 5) said: “The planetarium was really cool because the images were all around us!”

Isabelle (Year 5) said: “I particularly liked the Into the Universe section because it told us about the birth and death of stars. It was fascinating.”
