Senior School Swimming

Saturday 19th November saw our talented Senior School swim team travel to the London Aquatic Centre to compete in the 64th ESSA Secondary Schools' Team Championships.

The intermediate team (Years 9 and 10) team qualified in both the Medley and Freestyle races and the senior team, (Years 11 12 and 13) qualified in the Medley relay. Competing against the very best specialist swimming schools across the country, the intermediate team finished 19th in the freestyle event and 23rd in the medley event out of the 30 schools that qualified for the finals across England. The senior team finished a very commendable 22nd in their medley event.

Finally, a special mention to Upper Sixth students, Lulu Donaghy and Annabel Mullooly, who competed in their final ESSA national event. They have qualified for the national finals every year since Year 5, this is a fantastic achievement showing high performance swimming consistently for a large number of years.

We look forward to building on this success next year and chasing those final places.
