Junior School LRC

There are a whole host of immersive activities taking place in the Junior School LRC this term.

In celebration and awareness of Learn your name in Morse Code Day (11th January), the Library Club have been investigating different communication symbols that were pivotal during the World Wars.  

The pupils all had a go at decorating their own name in Morse Code and finding the right codes to use in order to spell their name.

We agreed that it was a very difficult system to learn off by heart. One student said: It must have taken them ages to learn this”, another said: “They must have remembered it so well because it was

As well as this, we have now started Year 4 Book Club. The pupils are currently reading The 26 Storey Treehouse, written by Andy Griffiths. The enthusiastic readers are getting the chance to read independently and, in a group, sharing ideas and their predictions. They have loved creating different pieces of art inspired by the story and adding their own imaginative characters and twists!
