Whole School House

By Mrs Reeves (Head Rowing Coach)

On Wednesday 8th March, House teams gathered to compete at the annual indoor rowing competition House Ergos.

This competition sees each House use one rowing machine to row as far as they can in 25 minutes, with each competitor rowing for one minute. With the machines set and the teams ready, you could certainly hear the competition commence! With over 100 students and staff taking to the rowing machines, it was fantastic to see individuals from the BGS community getting involved to support their House with unbelievable team spirit and camaraderie.

In a tightly fought contest, Houses were scored on not only their overall distance, but also their team spirit and the number of participants from the House.

Overall results::

1st – Parks & Franklin

2nd – Hepburn

3rd – Chanel

4th – Nightingale

5th – Austen

A huge thank you to all those who participated, to make this a brilliant House event! We look forward to seeing even more students compete and support their House at House Rowing on the river during the Summer Term!
