Our U19A and B lacrosse stars are still on cloud nine after both teams were crowned Division 2 National Lacrosse Champions in their respective competitions.

The annual tournament, which has been running for almost 80 years, took place at the Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre (11-14 March 2023) and saw over 3,000 girls playing for almost 200 teams in eight divisions across three age groups!

BGS’ U19A, U19B, U15A and U13A lacrosse teams put in outstanding performances; The U19As defeated Malvern St James Girls' School 4-1 in their final to win the trophy. The U19Bs defeated Wycombe Abbey in their final, claiming a 3-0 victory!

The U15As reached the knockout rounds and faced a strong Putney High School team. After a closely contested match which ended in a draw, Putney scored the golden goal and progressed to the next round and eventually the final. To finish as one of the top 16 teams in the country was a fantastic achievement.

The U13As played some excellent lacrosse throughout the day against some very strong lacrosse teams. The team reached the semi-finals where they lost 3-1 in an intense game against the eventual division winners, Wycombe Abbey.
