We are delighted to invite the BGS community to our upcoming Coronation Street Party.

The Association is hosting a ‘street party’ to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III on Saturday May 13th 2023, 12.30pm – 3.30pm in the Junior School Gardens. It will be a lovely opportunity to bring the school community together to commemorate this special occasion.

Bring along your family and friends to an afternoon of scones & jam, prosecco, and, of course, tea. There will also be inflatables, lawn games, a Pimm's bar and live music. 

All parents, staff, alumnae and their families are invited to join us for this event. General admission ticket is £5 per person or £15 for family of 4 (includes unlimited tea and coffee). Luxury Coronation lunch and admission package is £15 per person or £50 for a family of 4. Information about purchasing tickets and volunteering will be emailed to the community very soon, watch this space!

The Annual Bedford Regatta 

The 157th Bedford Regatta will be held on Sunday 7th May 2023. We always have a strong presence to cheer on our wonderful rowers on their home stretch of river. The Alumnae and Friends of Bedford Girls' School Rowing Club (FBGSRC) will be situated together by the Suspension Bridge, serving delicious refreshments throughout the day and everyone is invited to join us. It is an all-day event – so please feel free to pop by and bring your picnic blankets and deckchairs. Spread the word and show your support for our rowers, we would be delighted to see you.
