On Tuesday 9th March, our Junior School swimmers from Years 4, 5 and 6 travelled to Oundle School to race against Grantham, Laxton, Stamford, Kimbolton and Bishop Stortford in the Laxton Invitational Gala.

The 12 BGS swimmers were very excited to race in a 50m facility which had an electronic timing board; this fuelled much excitement as it informed swimmers of their time and place. Four swimmers from each age group made up the teams from each year group.   

After closely contested races, BGS achieved 3rd place overall. The Junior School swimmers are now focusing their training towards the ESSA National final in June.

Year 4 - Darcy Steel, Olivia Edmondson, Bella Maslin and Harriet Woolley.

Year 5 - Izzy Morris, Lottie Tillison, Evelyn Brown and Emmy Tolmie.

Year 6 - Eva Jackson, Leah Munday, Anna Quirighetti and Millie Cranfield.
