On Monday we had our Cinéfilles session to discuss and rate the animated film Persepolis which tells the story of a young Iranian girl. Forced to leave Iran after the creation of the Islamic Republic due to her strong opinions and behaviour, we followed the story of Marjane Satrapi during the Iranian Revolution.

We discussed the importance of her story as it also tells the story of many young Iranian girls today who have had their freedom taken away from them. As well as discussing difficult and very relevant topics, at Cinéfilles we improve our French language and debating skills which really helps towards our A level and IB studies.
