In last week’s edition of the EDIT, we featured an article about the Gold Duke of Edinburgh's practice and upcoming assessed expedition with Lower Sixth participants Laura Fisher, Lauren Lewis and Rebecca Nisbet. Lower Sixth cycling enthusiast, Charlie Spencer, will also be joining the girls on their assessed expedition this summer whilst raising funds for charity.

Charlie said: “I have been asked to support my friends in their cycle ride from coast to coast for their DofE Gold award. We are cycling from St Bees to Sunderland over four days. I am not part of the scheme and thought it would be great to raise funds for the school's charity, the Bedford Daycare Hospice. Any donations will be greatly appreciated."

This wonderful charity offers adults with life-limiting illnesses (such as cancer) a wide range of services such as complementary therapy, counselling, outreach clinics, respite care, carers support group, to name just a few. These services are all offered free of charge..
