Our annual U19 Lacrosse fixture against the University of Cambridge took place on Wednesday 29th September. This is always an exciting game for the BGS players as they compete against students who not only have a wealth of experience they often have a number of international players. Well this game didn’t disappoint!

A highly contested match allowed for huge development of the whole squad and some impressive individual performances. Natasha Miller was instrumental in defence with an interception which was of international standard. Kierra Saloma once again showed her class and made some sublime saves throughout the game. There were some brilliant transitions from defence into midfield who then linked well with the attacking unit. Ellie Castell scored an absolute corker from an individual drive at goal and it was so great to see the senior students forming connections all over the pitch. Both the U19A and B teams have their county tournament on Thursday 14th October and we would like to thank the University of Cambridge for helping us to prepare for this.

Team: Kierra Saloma, Sophia Gallagher, Natasha Miller, Freya Arnold, Georgina Wright, Fifi Devile, Amy Kneller, Mya Lakhan, Liz Bruce, Florence Miller, Amy Hall, Ellie Castell, Sophie Forbes-Laird, Megan Howlett, Ella Mathews, Scarlet Stokes, Ella Craven and Anna Mathew.
