Senior School LRC

By Ms Rogers (LRC Manager)

The Learning Resources Centre (LRC) are delighted to accept the donation of four new fiction titles from our Year 10 British Library prize winning author/illustrators, Leeloo Blackwell and Lennita Pitt.

The students were the recipients of a £50 gift voucher, in recognition of their entry to a British Library Competition entitled, You write, I’ll Draw. Leeloo and Lennita used part of their winning voucher to gift the library with book titles that in Lennita’ s words she “picked these book titles because these are the books I would want to see in the LRC and hopefully other students would too.”

We are extremely grateful for the student’s donations. We are always trying to ensure the collection supports and reflects the students interests and it is really important that their voice is heard. The titles selected reflect the maturity of the students and I know these titles will go on to be enjoyed throughout the school community. Each publication will contain a bookplate that recognises the students, their achievement and kind donation.
