The Art Department has recently introduced a Lunchtime Lectures series for Year 11 and Sixth Form students to network with creative professionals.

The first of three lectures took place a fortnight ago (Friday 13th November) and was hosted by David Litchfield, a local illustrator who has just published his first picture book by the name of The Bear & The Piano – the tale of a young bear who finds a piano in the forest.

David’s work has also appeared in magazines, newspapers and on t-shirts.

Passing on tips to improve their work and how to make their way in the industry, David also welcome questions from the girls at the end of the session.
