The BGS Arts community has been eagerly awaiting the return of school productions and we are looking forward, with anticipation, to our Year 9 production of Queen Lear; adapted from Shakespeare’s classic. The Drama Department’s mission continues to be to provide our students with as many opportunities to be involved in the whole production process as possible. This allows our Theatre Crew to not only help design costumes, set or sound, but also to have the opportunity to help run these elements on the show nights.

So straight after Easter, our Theatre Crew began working towards the exciting end goal of designing for a live performance beginning with how to transpose the original setting of King Lear to Sicily, Italy in the 60’s-80’s with a heavy Mafia influence, which is no easy feat.
