IB Exam Results

We are delighted to announce excellent International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Results for our 2023 cohort.

Our average point score is 38 points (against a worldwide average of 30), with over 20% of the cohort achieving above 40 points which is outstanding.

The students will be embarking on a wide range of courses at leading universities, including Veterinary Medicine; Politics and International Relations with Hispanic Studies; History; English and Geography.

BGS Headmistress, Mrs Gibson said: “I am so proud of these students. They have worked hard and committed themselves with great enthusiasm to the rigour of the IB Diploma Programme. They have developed wonderful skills and intellect, which will take them far in their further education and working lives.

“I am sure you will join me in congratulating them and wishing them great success in the next stage of their education. I would like to thank all of their teachers and the wider team at BGS for supporting, guiding and mentoring them through their Sixth Form studies. I have no doubt that this cohort will make a difference to the world around them.

“We are thrilled to have achieved such strong results during the experiential IB learning day, making it even more meaningful. This special event allowed students from the Senior School to actively participate in various enjoyable and engaging activities, exploring the IB philosophy and its innovative teaching and learning methods. We believe that these results will serve as an inspiration for students as they approach the Sixth Form, encouraging them to consider the IB Diploma programme as they make well informed choices around their direction of study in the Sixth Form.”
