It’s that time of year again when excitement builds ahead of the annual House Drama competition, which takes place on Monday 8th October, 4:00 – 6:30pm.
With rehearsals already in full swing, the girls are working hard to perfect their routines in search of becoming the coveted BGS House Drama champions.
Given five weeks to prepare for the competition, each House play is performed by Year 7 girls, with students from the Lower Sixth cast as scriptwriters and directors. Last year, Nightingale’s version of Three Billy Goats Gruff was the biggest hit with the judges, parents and pupils.
Miss MacKenzie, Headmistress, said: “The most pleasing aspect of House Drama is to see the Year 7s and Lower Sixth growing closer together, working to produce wonderful performances for the school to enjoy.”
