Students join the School from a wide range of independent and state-maintained schools.
Our assessments are designed to test future potential and we take account of the fact that pupils in different schools may well have reached different stages at the time the assessments take place.
Informal interviews give each applicant the opportunity to demonstrate the positive contribution they could make to this vibrant community.
The assessment day is designed to be as relaxed and informal as possible, giving all our candidates the chance to meet and interact with each other and members of staff before completing a series of short online cognitive ability tests.
Candidates will also have an informal interview with the Headmistress or Head of Year so we can get to know them a little better and give them the opportunity to ask any questions they may have. Full details of our examination criteria for all age groups are detailed in our 2025/26 Admissions Guide booklet.
