Talented BGS Speech and Drama students enjoyed an incredible success at last weekend’s Milton Keynes Festival of the Arts.
Established in 1968 the Festival of the Arts is the largest and longest established annual performance festival in Milton Keynes providing an encouraging platform for amateur performers of all ages. BGS entered a wealth of performers into numerous speech and drama programmes including Verse Duet, Verse Speaking and Dramatic Solo.
Mrs Redford (Head of Speech and Drama) said: “Girls from Years 5 to 11 were placed in every class they entered. The competition was strong and the girls rose to the challenge with determination and professionalism. I was proud to see them working so hard and listening carefully to the expert feedback from the adjudicators, ready to incorporate this into their performances ahead of the forthcoming Bedford Festival. Well done, girls!”
