On Friday 20th November, Mr Gardner (Senior Deputy Head) met with Year 10 student Alice Toone, to record the first in a series of monthly podcasts designed to showcase the creative talents of songwriters from across BGS.

Alice provided listeners with an insight into her approach to song writing, as well as highlighting popular artists who have influenced her style. She also performed two of her own compositions live on the podcast and introduced each one by explaining the thematic nature of the lyrics.

Alice’s performances were bold and imaginative whilst adhering to musical techniques designed to draw universal appeal. This combination of technique and personal style is sure to set Alice in good stead for a future in song writing and performance. A recording of the podcast can be found here.
