Mrs Whomsley (Head of Year 5)

The girls had an exciting start to their final Unit of Inquiry in Year 5 for How We Express Ourselves, which incorporates exploring the arts and performance.

As part of the unit, they will be experimenting with a range of performance genres, which will culminate in their own class performances in dance and poetry. The girls are already working on a dance piece and, in class, they have had fun with many practical drama activities. It has also been wonderful to share the experiences the girls already have of performing outside of school through clubs or traditional dances.

After a year where we have had to spend so much time apart, this is a wonderful unit to end with as it enables them to enjoy practical activities together and collaborate with the other Year 5 classes.
