Mrs Cruse (Head of Years 7 and 8)
On Wednesday morning, the Year 8 Wellbeing Day started in glorious sunshine as the students set off to Cople, enjoying each other’s company as they walked through the Bedfordshire countryside.
Upon their arrival the students got stuck into Form rounders which they enjoyed playing and cheered one another on to get as many rounders as possible. They were then set a House Challenge of making a Stop, rewind video. The collaborative task involved filming themselves doing an action and then filming themselves doing the action in reverse, it was so much fun watching their imaginative and creative ideas and some of their facial expressions as they tried to do them in reverse!
After a lunch break, everyone engaged in a relaxing 45-minute mindful body balance session. The next challenge set was to make some outdoor origami animals and photograph them in nature, their creative skills were amazing. The day was finished by a 30-minute Zumba class with all students embracing the music and enjoying all the moves.
