We are proud to announce that our U11A Netball team have been crowned district champions after winning against Bedford Modern School (BMS).  

The four U11 teams took part in the U11 district tournament on Monday. With a mixture of results across the teams it was the U11A team who made it out of the group stages into a semi-final against Great Denham, which resulted in a 9-0 victory to BGS. This led to a final against BMS, who had also won all of their group games. BGS came away winners beating BMS comfortably 5-0 and not conceding a single goal the whole day.

This follows on from some other great successes, with the U11A team finishing second in the county tournament and 4th in the regional IAPS competition.

Miss Huckle (Head of Netball) said: “All the BGS teams worked extremely hard throughout the tournament. The girls’ determination, communication and confidence led the U11A team to victory. They demonstrated some excellent feeding into the shooting circle and tireless defensive efforts, which resulted in no goals conceded!”
