By Mrs Thomas (Chair of The Association)
I don’t think anyone could have predicted the practically arctic conditions under which the belated Coronation celebrations were held on Saturday! Having said that, the atmosphere was as warm as a freshly baked scone in the grounds of the Junior School.
The wonderful BGS community showed up with their picnics and puffer jackets and enjoyed the most gorgeous sounds of the talented Bel Canto choir (huge thanks to Mr Keating-Roberts, Mr Atkins and the entire Music department for organising this.) Afternoon tea was taken, Pimm’s was drunk, crowns were made, lawn games were played and much bouncing was done on the inflatables.
Thanks to all who attended this happy occasion, and special thanks to The Association volunteers, without whom, these events simply could not happen.
Next up is the second hand uniform sale on Tuesday 27th June, more information to follow shortly.
