Exciting news for this Spring Term! The Book Club has shifted its focus to Year 6 and the enthusiasm is palpable. After a vote on our favourite texts, the iconic Harry Potter series emerged as the overwhelming winner. Last week marked the start of this magical journey, with a captivating read-aloud of Chapter 1. Our readers engaged in discussions, pausing at various points to marvel at the amazing imagery and wonderful adjectives skilfully crafted by J.K. Rowling.

In our latest session this week, the enchantment continued as the girls sorted themselves into the various Hogwarts houses. Amidst laughter and camaraderie, they coloured in House bookmarks and delved into the first 20 minutes of the film. This immersive experience allowed them to make intriguing connections between the book and the motion picture, fostering a deeper understanding of the plot that showcased their big picture thinking skills. A special shout-out to our dedicated Sixth Form helpers, Amy and Faith, who will be guiding the journey over the next four weeks. The discussions so far exemplify the #BGSImaginative spirit, showcasing the boundless creativity of our students.
