It’s always a pleasure to welcome our alumnae back to school, and on Thursday 3rd October, we were delighted to welcome Amy Bird (BGS 2016) to kick off our 2024/25 Lunch Box Lecture series.

After leaving BGS, Amy took a gap year during which she spent some time working before going on to study Business Management at university, including a placement year. After graduating, Amy spent some time in recruitment before discovering that HR was the career path she wanted to pursue.

She spoke with some of our students about what a career in HR can look like and the various routes into it, answering questions such as how she knew HR was the right career for her.

We would like to thank Amy for coming in; it was wonderful to hear about her journey since leaving BGS.

Look out for after half-term when we will be focusing on the apprenticeship route and inviting Alumnae who have undertaken apprenticeship programmes back into school.
