As part of the Science curriculum, Year 5 explored the wonders of space at the National Space Centre in Leicester on Tuesday 25th April.
It was a fun-filled busy day with much to see and experience. They enjoyed exploring the wide variety of interactive hands on galleries and found out answers to the following questions: How stars are formed? What is gravity like on other planets? And what is it like to be an Astronaut?
They experienced a virtual space mission to the moon of Jupiter in a simulator and enjoyed a visit to the 3D Planetarium. It was fantastic journey into outer space and the pupils met celebrity astronaut Tim Peake – in cut out form.
Tim Peake even liked our group photo tweet from the day - view it here.
