On Wednesday 18th April, Year 6 enjoyed a spectacular workshop with The Mighty Zulu Nation Warriors.

The cast of professional dancers from South Africa started the show with astonishing traditional Zulu dance sequences and songs; they were full of energy and never got tired. They wore cheetah skins which represented royalty, headbands and bands round their arms and legs to show their experience.

They performed spectacular traditional dance sequences, accompanied by Zulu drums. We also had the opportunity to learn traditional dances and songs. One of many highlights was learning the language, phrases include ‘hello’, ‘I’m fine’ and ‘how are you?’.

The workshop linked to our Footprints Unit of Enquiry and provided us with the opportunity to learn how the Zulu are following in the footsteps of their ancestors and showing their passion with traditional dancing and singing.
