Ella Cotton (Upper Sixth)
On Tuesday, the Sixth Form Geography students accompanied by the Geography Department attended an informative lecture at Bedford School about feedbacks in polar environments. Dr Richard Hodgkins, who is a Senior Lecturer in Physical Geography at Loughborough University, delivered the lecture.
For us Upper Sixth it really helped us refresh our knowledge on feedbacks within the water and carbon cycle topic and further added relevant information and useful examples for our A Level examinations in the summer. For the Lower Sixth it showed them a taste of what they are going to study next year.
During the lecture, we participated in several of interactive activities including a quiz using the vevox app, which really helped us to pin down our knowledge and to learn from any mistakes we made on answering the questions.
We all really enjoyed the evening, it really helped up broaden our understanding of the water and carbon cycle topic.
