Caitlyn Ward (Upper Sixth)

On Wednesday evening, a group of Upper Sixth students organised a concert to raise funds for Sue Ryder St John's Hospice.

Students from different year groups performed a variety of musical pieces, such as a beautiful performance of Dove Sei in Italian and an Amy Winehouse cover. A huge thank you to Tamara Oakley-Holton, Serena Jacob, Beth Hammond, Eva Ng, Sarah Pepper, Sarah Beard, Beth Thompson, Eleni Zorn and Niall Townley for their wonderful performances on the night and special thanks to everybody who helped out behind the scenes.

This has been our third year organising the event, and we hope that some younger students may be inspired to continue the tradition next year.

We managed to raise a fantastic £413. Combined with the funds raised from our Just Giving page and the past two concerts, we’ve surpassed our goal and raised a total of £1,156. The funds are going to a worthy cause and we have loved being able to support St John’s again. Thank you everyone who donated!
