We are proud to announce that talented cyclist Cecilia Linden (Year 6) placed first in round 4 of the U12 Cyclo-cross League, held in Kettering on Saturday the 5th of October.

Cecilia, who represents Team MK, triumphed against very competitive field on a tough, demanding course. She had a fantastic battle with her nearest rival, but in the end managed to beat her after a tremendous sprint to the finish line. Cecilia currently heads the league standings with six races to go.

Cecilia also competes in road races and track cycling at the Derby Arena. She took up cycling in 2016, joining the Bedfordshire Road Cycling Club Youth Go Ride Section. She was quickly encouraged to compete in organised races, starting with the Muddy Monsters Cyclo Cross Series. She won the U8 series in her first year and then went onto win the U10 series in her second year.

During the summer, Cecilia joined Team MK Youth Cycling Club where she competed in a Summer Criterium (Road Race) Series, she managed to win three out eight of the races in her age category, eventually finishing second overall.
