On Saturday 25th of January, the U14A and U16A netball teams took to the courts at Stanborough School in Welwyn Garden City for the East Region Netball Schools Competition.
The National Schools Competition is the biggest schools competition in the netball calendar. At the regional round, there are six pool matches and a semi-final, the East Champions and the runners up will go on to represent the East in the National Finals.
Both the U14A and U16A teams played superbly with excellent defensive and shooting skills on show. The 16A team won three games and lost three, scoring an impressive 61 goals, the team placed third in the group. The 14A team won five out of six games, scoring 67 goals in the group stage. They progressed to the semi final, losing a closely contested game to Berkhamsted School. In the third place play off they beat Brentwood School.
