Mrs Howlett (Deputy Head of PE)
On Tuesday, 12 of our girls from Year 3 competed in the annual tennis competition against boys and girls from Pilgrims School. With our inclement weather outside hailing, we were certainly grateful for a spot in the Sports Hall using the four courts.
A total of 28 matches were played in a well spirited and competitive fixture. The competition format was the first player to reach 10 points in each match. However, many matches reached a sudden death point at 9-9. The final score was 10 matches – 18 matches in Pilgrims favour meaning BGS needed to hand over the well earned title they held from the previous year.
A number of the Pilgrims Year 2 girls will be joining us in September and we look forward to seeing them in the BGS colours next year.
