Mrs Schofield (Head of Year 4)
As the first half term comes to a close, Year 4 can reflect on a very busy Unit of Inquiry, full of fun learning experiences and knowledgeable visitors, helping them develop their understanding of Health and Wellbeing.
The girls have considered what health means and what aspects of life are connected to how healthy we feel. They have also thought about the concept of responsibility, and how the decisions we make on a daily basis impact our present and future health.
Their final visit was from our very own school nurse, Mrs Lenehan, who visited each class individually to help the girls consider the importance of personal hygiene. In our current climate, the importance of washing our hands was in the forefront of everyone’s minds, but the girls also found out about other common viruses and bacteria. A super start to the year!
