At the beginning of the summer lockdown, we highlighted how inspirational student, Mollie Sawford (Upper Sixth), was planning to donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity who provide real hair wigs free of charge to children and young adults up to the age of 24, who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.
Well that time arrived during half term, where Mollie decided to cut off a foot of her hair! We spoke to Mollie about her campaign, she said: “I am so glad to have been able to make this donation and change someone’s life, I love having been able to do this and I’d recommend it to anyone who would consider doing it!”
With many charities still struggling due to the current pandemic, it would be great if the BGS Community can support this cause. So far Mollie has raised £280.01, her target is £500.00. Please donate here.
