Mrs Hoar (Challenge and Extend Coordinator)
At the start of the week, we launched the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) to the Lower Sixth students with the challenge of applying their meta-thinking skills to a collaborative task.
The EPQ is a wonderful independent learning qualification. Over the next few months, the students will engage with a wide range of transferable skills including referencing, research and presentational devices, before producing a written dissertation or an artefact. The projects embrace a diverse and extensive range of subject areas; each and every outcome is unique and personal to the individual, providing a fantastic independent academic grounding for future study and career pathways. I look forward to observing the students as they continue on their EPQ journey.
