The Junior School Leadership Group

Starting Monday 24 January and ending on Tuesday 25th, we (the Junior School Leadership Group) held a netball shootout where the Junior School girls have exactly sixty seconds to shoot as many hoops as they can. Everyone had whooping scores, showing some excellent talent and perseverance.

The fantastic winners of this competition were Siena Grant in Year 3, who scored a total of eight goals! In Year 4, our amazing winner with the high score of twelve goals was Emmy Tolmie! Year 5 saw Lottie Dawson with a magnificent seven goals! And last but certainly not least was Megan Barnicoat with a breath-taking seventeen hoops! Congratulations to all our winners. They all showed amazing learner attributes and determination, even when they were down low in the learning pit with the ball bouncing every other way.

Miss Coote (Year 4 Teacher) said: “The Junior School Leadership Group were thrilled to run their first netball shootout at break time today for Years 3 and 4. They had to use their flexible thinking skills to identify an event that was accessible to all whilst using their strategy planning skills to record names, times and scores.”
