Sixth Form Psychology

Mrs Harrold (Head of Psychology)

This term, the Lower Sixth students have been working on further developing their intellectual confidence in Psychology.

To really extend the students, they were tasked with teaching each other about some of the key issues and debates that make Psychology such a challenging science, through creating a clear, coherent and articulate video on one specific area. Covering topics such as the ethical implications of socially sensitive research, the nature-nurture debate and gender and culture bias, The Lower Sixth students have pushed themselves to present the key information in an engaging way that will enable their uninitiated peers to fully grasp the material.

On Thursday, the classes discussed the features of an articulate oral presentation of material, so students were consciously aiming to practice these during the task, so as to most systematically develop their skills in oration.
