By Mrs Martin (Head of Year 3)

At this poignant time of year, it is important for our whole school community to understand the importance and significance of remembrance. In fostering empathy with the younger generation, we can hope that the great losses and atrocities of War will not be repeated.

In learning about why significant people and groups are remembered, Year 3 thought carefully about the symbolism of the poppy. They created watercolours which reflected a sense of serenity and peace. Please take a look at a selection of their work here.
