By Miss Alarcon (Year 3 Teacher)
As part of their Unit of Inquiry, Nature is a cultural stimulus for creativity and enjoyment, this week Year 3 have been focusing on their Spanish skills!
Spanish Culture is one of passion and creativity! The girls have researched the art of Flamenco and how this bold and elegant style of singing, dancing, and music has been passed down from generation to generation since the 15th Century.
The girls found out that this traditional Spanish art form expresses deep and strong emotions, and as part of their learning, they have embraced the skills by having a go themselves. This has given them their own understanding of how their facial expressions and body movements can express their emotions and celebrate their femininity.
The girls impressed us with their agency by bringing in their own costumes and musical instruments.
