By Mrs Thomas (Year 3 Teacher)
This half term, Year 3s Unit of Inquiry is An Investigation into why organisations are created to solve problems and support human endeavour and enterprise. As an exciting provocation, Year 3 visited the wonderful, busy working world of KidZania - and what an immersive experience it was!
Once inside the indoor city, the girls were met with an array of exciting and challenging true-to-life job experiences and opportunities. Working both collaboratively and independently, they became totally immersed and engaged in each activity, discovering their own talents and skills and feeling a sense of empowerment as they took on the various roles within each organisation. Whether they became a KidZania news readers, an undercover spy, a pet wellbeing therapist, an artist, airline cabin crew, a florist or a journalist for the Metro Newspaper (as well as a huge range of other professions) they approached each role with dedication and enthusiasm
All in all, it was a totally inspiring glimpse into the skills that are needed for future possible careers.
