Last Friday, Year 5 girls experienced an uplifting gospel singing workshop led by a visiting gospel teacher. The workshop aimed to develop the girls' understanding of different ways people can express themselves as well as allowing them to explore emotional expression through music. As the day progressed, it was evident from the broad smiles across faces that the girls were gaining both confidence and technical skill.

The day culminated with Year 5 girls performing to their parents a variety of choral responses and songs from around the world. The high-energy performance uplifted both the performers and their audience, showcasing the skills and enthusiasm the girls had developed. One of the girls perfectly captured the day's spirit, saying, "I felt so joyful and happy because of the vibes that gospel singing gives."

The workshop was a truly memorable experience, enhancing the girls' musical abilities and their understanding of emotional expression through music.
