By Mrs Tarrant (Head of Year 7)
On Tuesday 17th September, Year 7 students and tutors, took part in the WiseUp Bushcraft Challenge. The aim of the day was to come together as a group, face challenges, and continue the transition into senior school.
We were blessed with beautiful weather at Cople Fields, and the Year 7s did BGS proud. They worked together as a team, building fires, purifying water, and constructing shelters. They had the chance to chat with one another, mingle as a year group, and make new friends while embarking on a journey to learn key survival skills.
It was fantastic to see new groups working together to complete the challenges and truly bond as a year group. I look forward to watching them continue to gain fantastic experiences and seeing them flourish over the next year.

To begin with, our group did the fire activity, where we investigated different ways to create fire…” Read the full reflection here.
