Whole School Co-curricular

By Mrs Day (Co-Curricular and Community Outreach Manager)

On 12th September, BGS held its first-ever Co-curricular Clubs Fayre. During lunchtime, over 52 clubs and societies set up their vibrant stalls, inviting Years 7-9 to explore the exciting range of activities available each week. The stalls were arranged by club type—Sports, Music, Arts and Creativity, Engage and Enquire, Global Citizenship, Wellbeing and Teamwork—making it easy for students to navigate the bustling Fayre.

As a new event for the school, this year’s Fayre was open to Years 7-9 only, but following its huge success, next year’s event will be even bigger and open to all year groups.

The atmosphere at the Fayre was electric! The Assembly Hall buzzed with energy as students eagerly moved between stalls, signing up for clubs and discovering new passions. Older students, who lead several clubs, were on hand to enthusiastically promote their activities alongside staff, adding to the lively environment.

With such a wide variety of clubs on offer, there truly is something for everyone. If you haven’t yet signed up, don’t worry—it’s not too late! Just contact the club leader to get involved.
