By Mrs Martin (Head of Year 3)
Last week we shared our first Year 3 Reading Breakfast of the school year with parents.
This term, our Unit of Inquiry focuses on Who We Are, exploring and celebrating our diverse identities. Pupils and their parents began the morning by enjoying shared reading time, each reading a book together.
We then came together as a group to explore The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, using the inspiring motto from the book: "Make your mark and see where it takes you." This message resonated deeply as we discussed growth mindset and how embracing our uniqueness can lead to beautiful, creative outcomes. Each pupil created their own dot artwork, reflecting their individuality, which will soon form a wonderful display in our Year 3 corridor.
We look forward to seeing how these dots come together as a celebration of our diverse identities!
