We are incredibly proud of Aizah Malik (Year 6), who continues to inspire as a Young Ambassador for the Luton Foodbank.
On Sunday 13th October, Aizah participated in the Love Luton RunFest 5K, raising funds for the Curry Kitchen, a community charity that provides hot meals and delivers food to homeless shelters in Luton.
Last year, Aizah took on the role of Young Ambassador for the Luton Foodbank, which involves organising fundraising events and collecting donations at local supermarkets. She has also helped coordinate two afternoon tea community events for the Curry Kitchen and recently delivered an inspiring speech to the community at one of the afternoon tea events.
Reflecting on RunFest, Aizah said: “I really enjoyed the RunFest. There were so many people, and I loved seeing the diverse community of Luton come together for such an important cause. It was truly inspirational, and many of the runners commented on my previous speech, saying it inspired them to visit the Luton Curry Kitchen and take part in the run. Though much has been accomplished, I feel there is still much to do.”
Aizah’s commitment is a wonderful example of how the spirit of community can inspire change and bring people together.
